Pattaya Golf Courses

Before you even think of tackling this awesome course, you will need a good nights sleep and a clear head.

St. Andrews 2000 is a golf course with 18 holes newly developed next to Rayong Green Valley Country Club. The golf course is laid out on a hilly terrain on which you can experience an uncompromising round of golf. It is a Scottish links course that offers exciting and challenging holes for the low handicap player. It takes about 2 hours by car to reach the course from Bangkok via the Bangkok-Chonburi Motorway

The beautiful layout of Khao Kheow will quickly take you into proper Thai jungle.

This is a wonderful golf course having something for every standard of player, being a Dye design you do not get off lightly and you will know that you have just either passed or failed a golf test. The par three, seventeenth hole with its island green is a challenge for anyone. The course is made all the more interesting by the persistent wind that is funneled down from the nearby valleys.

It does resemble a Southern American course with an abundance of palm tress and sculptured fairways. The greens are not flat! The clubhouse and amenities are first class, don’t miss this course.  

Laem Chabang International Country Club has 3 nine holes of high standard and all different. This course was designed by the Nicklaus group and does seem to boast some individual holes. Stunning views from many elevated tee boxes are found all over the course, a course which is always in excellent shape. Clever bunker and water placements provide the player with many testing shots, better to play quietly until you get to know the place. It consists of three distinctly different nines: mountain, lake & creek, with perhaps the two most daunting starting holes on the mountain 9 to be found anywhere. All in all it is a Challenging course with lakes, ponds & streams posing major threats to stray shots. Good caddies and a luxurious well-run clubhouse with restaurants with on course views, snooker room, library, sauna and pool, the locker rooms for men and ladies are also well appointed.

Laem Chabang International Country Club is truly world-class in every respect. 

Burapha is a very impressive complex of 36 holes, each course proving to be a unique challenge.

This has been recently opened-up to the green fee payer, as it is a large private club normally reserved for estate members only.

Designed by David Graham the 2 courses are quite different. The west course is tight and runs up and down the nearby hill with wind becoming a factor not normally associated with Thai courses.

The East course, flatter has hosted one or two recent Tournaments and the pros have given the thumbs-up. This course has matured into a pretty and a good all-round test of  

The Phoenix has inviting, lush fairways with spacious greens. 

This is another Dennis Griffiths design of 27 holes. The Phoenix has inviting, lush fairways with spacious greens. Some of the views, particularly of the Mountain and Ocean nines, are quite breathtaking as you weave through their mixture of palms and pines. The course usually has a cooling sea breeze due to its elevated position.

Over the treetops are the golden spires of a large local temple complex. The monks from there have etched a huge golden Buddha on the nearby mountain face. It will never let you forget that you are in amazing Thailand. Probably the toughest test is the 17th, a daunting par 4 that doglegs around the lake and will ask questions of any golfer. This is a great track for the mid-handicapper who will be able to scramble for several pars. A low handicap golfer will be able to attack the pin position without too much fear of punishment, and birdie putts should be frequent. Well maintained greens will give everyone a fair chance to score

The Phoenix is one of the closest courses to Pattaya, being only a 25 minute drive. The palatial marble clubhouse with its enormous atrium houses a grand waterfall and fountains. From the terrace and restaurant above you can see far-reaching views down the valley to the Gulf of Siam. This is a tantalizing layout and we are always happy to get out to play The Phoenix, it is a uniquely Thai experience.

In Thailand, the name Green Valley has become a brand that is associated with quality courses and championship layouts 

The original course, changed a little to accommodate the new clubhouse and accessibility to the Muirhead course, was a masterpiece. Set amongst a small meandering creek with dog legs, water holes and beautiful landscaping, it was a delight. Greens were small and raised so you had to be on your game—not overly long the maturing trees and ever apparent creek made you keep the ball on the well kept fairways.

Siam Country Club Pattaya Old Course is the first privately owned golf club in Thailand, founded by the late Dr. Thaworn Phornprapha. His vision and passion was to see Thailand with a golf course that will proudly stand among the international standards. In its 38 year history, since the beginning of its construction in September 1969, this golf course has reserved Thailand as host to many golfing events such as the Thailand Open 4 times, many Asian Golf Circuits and the latest a world class tournament “Honda LPGA Thailand 2007.

Siam Country Club Pattaya Old Course was designed by I.Izumi and has just been completely renovated by Schmidt Curley Design Inc. Some of the trees were removed allowing for an excellent breeze. A popular grass, Seashore Paspalum, was chosen for the fairways, and Novotek for the greens. In addition, the 101 bunkers are there for beauty and challengers for all golfers alike. The well designed renovated clubhouse blends in completely with the golf course. The locker rooms on the ground floor restaurant houses both air condition and large outdoor areas with a relaxing atmosphere and exceptional service. Three function rooms, suitable from small to large groups, are situated on third floor with the most spectacular view overlooking the golf course. The golf course’s car park can accommodate up to 200 cars.

Crystal Bay has been described as a Hawaiian links style of course with its swinging palms and lush fairways.

As with all of Ronald Fream courses you know that you will enjoy a beautiful course laid out amongst flowers and shrubs and palms, you are not disappointed. 27 holes of pleasure, with some excellent water holes, undulating fairways and quick greens. All standard of player will love this. Little rough but plenty of Palm trees and water to ensure you should keep straight.

All nines have very good water par threes. The course is overlooked by the impressive clubhouse, which serves good Thai food. 

Siam Country Club Pattaya “PLANTATION”

Siam Country Club is the first privately owned golf course in Thailand, and opened in February 1972. In March 2006, Siam Country Club began a total renovation project of its existing 35 year old 18-hole golf course, which is today known as Siam Country Club Pattaya Old Course. At the same time, a construction of a new 27-hole golf course in a property 6 Km near by was launched.

In March 2008, the new 27-hole golf course is opened with the name Siam Country Club Pattaya Plantation. Both golf courses are designed by a well known Arizona based, Schmidt & Curley Design Inc. The “PLANTATION” name was given in the honor of the historic Sugar Cane, Tapioca, and Pineapple plantations, and each 9-hole is named accordingly.

From the inception of the projects, the philosophies on the renovation of the Old Course and the construction of the Plantation are crystal clear. The Old Course will remain a flush green, mature and traditional classic tree-lined golf course. Even the interior decorations, utilizing the original structure, from the lobby to restaurant, and locker rooms are unmistakably soft, subtle, and exclusive. The Plantation, on the other hand, must be uniquely different, modern, and refreshing from any other golf courses in the region. An architectural “Bird Wing” clubhouse sits high on natural rolling hills clearly overlooking the golf course and a breath taken view of Pattaya Ocean.

The course is beautifully manicured, and features many great doglegs.

This is a Ronald Fream, 6,807-yard layout and is a visual beauty. Formerly Natural Park Hill, the course was closed for several months and has undergone management changes and a great deal of improvements.

Positioned behind many of the greens are large trees and a variety of flora that blooms at different times of the year. It has tight fairways and straight driving is quite important here. The golf course usually plays longer than it looks, so checking your yardage with the caddy is important. Its fast greens can be terrifying, featuring many multiple slopes and levels. Landing your ball at the correct part of the green is essential, otherwise you will find yourself in three-putt territory.

The course is beautifully manicured, and features many great doglegs. But, fair warning, it's the greens that will get you here.

When the par 3 signature hole, the 17th, is in full bloom, (BELOW RIGHT) it is visually one of the most stunning holes in all of Thailand. You must carry the tranquil lotus flowered pond -which itself is bordered by multicoloured flowering shrubbery- to find the deeply bunkered green. Putt well on this golf course and you will know that you have played great golf. This course is a great pleasure, and we believe this to be one of the finest in the Chonburi-Pattaya region.

One of only five courses designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. in Thailand, Eastern Star shines bright as a sandy based links style course surrounded by tall, swaying coconut palms.

Not an easy course and the water hazards do come into play a lot as the fairways tend to drag you into them. When in good condition this is really worth playing, positional play is needed, and a good caddy. This is a cross between a links style and parkland, if there is such a thing! The fairways are basically wide although the shallow bunkers stop the carefree driver of getting carried away. There are many mature coconut trees on the course and in season the sortie into the mango trees isn’t such a bad shot.

The clubhouse is lovely, and the food excellent, so to is the service.
