Springfield Village Golf & Spa was designed by Jack Nicklaus and developed from 1991 - 1993. It is a world class golf course maintained to the highest international standards. 

Beautifully maintained, the Springfield Royal Country Club presents the golfer with a wonderful, 27 beautifully designed, landscaped holes - each challenges your senses of aesthetics as well as your golfing skills. 

It is a true Jack Nicklaus masterpiece. A championship course with five sets of tees to play from, the course offers varying degrees of difficulty that accentuate the dramatic lush landscape. Be prepared for some long carries if you are brave enough to play from the back tees. It is one of the best courses you will ever play! 

This club was originally scheduled as 54 holes of golf on three courses-Dragon Pearl, Dragon Green and Dragon Lakes. However due to the economic down turn only 18 holes have been built. Jim Engh and Isao Aoki designed the two Nines respectively. The course offers a combination of undulating fairways and greens, lateral water hazards, 'water carry holes', dogleg holes and subtle placement of bunkers. The Aoki nine has a combination of 3 par 3’s, three par 4’s and three par 5’s, a unique set up. Added to this, the super scenic backdrop during play is refreshing for the golfer.

 18 holes laid out by Roger Packard, opened in 1993. It has now 27 and the last nine are to open this November (2006)and this new 18 will be a real test if the first 9 (the Desert course) are anything to go by—looks very inviting. But if you want a less hazardous day out play the original 18 which is a tropical parkland style with an abundance of palm trees lining the fairways and plentiful deep bunkers and water on some holes-why do we torture ourselves? Usually in immaculate condition with fast sloping greens. 

Hole 14 beware, long par three with an island green-a real test! Golf carts available. Excellent facilities and on-course hotel recommended for a few days golf and away from it all. Staff, food, and service as one would expect from a hotel/golf complex.

Black Mountain is the 7th and newest golf course in Hua Hin and was transformed from lush jungle and pineapple plantations. The course is set in a valley, just next to the "Black Mountain’s", which are so named because of the large black rocks set into the mountains, providing a nice backdrop to many of the holes. The golf course looks as natural as possible and maintains many of the original features of the site. The most important of these are the natural creeks that run throughout the course and the rocks that have been used as design features on many of the holes. Many of the original trees have been kept and many new trees have been planted to frame the holes.

The course is a test for the top golfers, but also very playable for the average golfer. All the holes provide the golfer with a safe route but for the more adventurous player there is a higher risk option with a potential greater reward. For example, the par 5, 6th peninsula green can be reached in 2 shots by aggressive long hitters, while casual golfers have a regulation path to the green almost requiring a 360 degree series of 3 shots. I suspect than many birdies can be had, if not an eagle now and then. Immediately following, the 7th hole, a par 4, provides two realistic ways to play the hole. Those who can carry their drives 230 yards or more over water will be rewarded with an easy chip shot to the green. Others, will need to 2 shots to skirt around the water, first left and then back right, making it almost impossible to par. Again, this hole is a good example of the risk –reward situation on each of the holes at Black Mountain. 

Black Mountain offers generous fairways for the shorter hitters that become narrower for the longer tee shots. The greens are large with many pin positions, with different degrees of difficulty, and the course is well protected by many white sand sculptured bunkers.

The first of the new courses to open in 1991, Palm Hills is the closest to Hua Hin. It was the main venue for the inaugural Thailand World Pro Am tournament in 1993 and the Max Wexler design blends with the natural terrain of the surrounding hills to provide a layout which is enjoyable to golfers of all standards. Water hazards feature at regular intervals.

Thousands of brightly colored bougainvilleas add to the natural beauty and the back nine provides some tremendous views of the Gulf of Thailand. The greens can be fast with some very tricky borrows.

A short drive just outside of town brings you to the spacious resort of Palm Hills.

An enormous amount of time and money has been invested in the last few years and it is reflected in the excellent condition it has attained, there are almost 30 lakes that are intertwined with the generously wide fairways. There is an abundance of beautiful landscaping throughout and at certain times of the year the course is enveloped in the exotic fragrance of the blooms from the frangipani tree-lined fairways. The greens can be some of the fastest in the area and are a good putter's dream if they can position themselves correctly on the undulating greens.

This is a complete sports resort as there are two clubhouses. One caters to the enormous Sports Club which has a very large swimming pool and outdoor tennis courts. Inside are the badminton, squash, ping pong and snooker facilities. This makes this an ideal family resort where an entire day can be occupied to its fullest.

27 holes set in wonderful countryside with a backdrop of the border mountains of the local National Park, this Dr. Sukkitti design is definitely a true test and one not to be missed. Starting with three shortish par 4's that can lead you to think you don't need your driver-- Ho Ho! 

Plenty of water some long par 5's and all in all a great day's golf awaits you. The Zoysia grass allows the ball to sit up and beg to be hit, so there are no excuses! New water supply has ensured that the greens no longer get dry. Golf carts advised as there are some long walks. 

The greens have had a reputation for being on the slow side and grainy-still a little grain but they are now quick. Fine modern clubhouse facilities with a good service, with a generally friendly staff.
