Thailand Golf Tours is proud to team up with Mathew & Sally Pitt from Social Golf Australia to host their first International tournament The SGA International being held in Thailand in March 2012
About Social Golf Australia
Social Golf Australia (SGA) was founded in 2008 by Matthew and Sally Pitt who own and operate Australia's largest and fastest growing social golf club. In 2008, they founded the the Victorian Social Golf Club Championships (VSGCC), an official State Championship supported by Golf Australia.
They now run events in all states as part of the SGA tour.
The SGA Tours are a series of individual golf events that are separate from the Social Golf Club Championships. They have been established to offer golfers of all levels an affordable golfing alternative with flexibility and choice, where players can compete for great prizes on a regular basis.
In 2011, we will operate separate "Tours" based in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth that play on a variety of courses all within 90 minutes of each city. “The Tour” season comprises between 10 and 20 events played on some of the best courses available. Due to our large group bookings, we are able to secure green fee discounts at some courses that will be passed on to you – the ‘Tour player’. Prize costs are included in the entry price for each event and anyone is welcome to join the fun of playing on the Tour. In 2009, they acquired the Australian Social Golf Club Championships (ASGCC) that had been founded at Palm Meadows on the Gold Coast in 2005 and then established State SGC Championships in both New South Wales (NSW SGCC) and Queensland (QSGCC). In 2010 they established The SGA Tour event series offering a series of official golf events in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and SE Queensland. In 2011, they founded a Tour in South Australia so they have SGA Tours in five States with events that are open to all golfers to enter. Through their partnerships with Wilson Staff, Drummond Golf, Heathcote Winery, Winning Spirit Clothing, Barnbougle Dunes, Vortex Air and a range of industry partners, SGA has continued to expand the range of services they have to offer for golfers around Australia.
